Georgia EU Association Agreement Advances Trade Integration

Georgia continues advancing implementation of its Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area agreement with the European Union, aligning domestic regulations with European standards and deepening economic integration with the bloc's single market.

Trade flows between Georgia and EU member states have grown substantially since the agreement's entry into force. Georgian exports to Europe include agricultural products, minerals, textiles, and increasingly, technology services from the country's growing IT sector.

Visa liberalization for Georgian citizens traveling to the Schengen Area complements economic integration, facilitating business travel, tourism, and educational exchanges. The EU remains Georgia's largest trading partner and primary source of foreign direct investment.
