ACWA Power to Launch 240 MW Khizi-Absheron Wind Farm November 2025

Saudi Arabia's ACWA Power will launch the 240 MW Khizi-Absheron Wind Power Plant in Azerbaijan by November 2025, marking a significant renewable energy milestone.

The wind farm leverages Azerbaijan's favorable wind conditions in the Absheron region, where average annual windspeeds reach 7.9-8.1 meters per second, confirming economic and technical wind power potential.

ACWA Power also developing two new potential projects: onshore facilities totaling 1 GW capacity and a 1.5 GW offshore wind farm with battery storage.

The company's existing project advances Azerbaijan's renewable energy targets while demonstrating international investor confidence in the country's clean energy transition commitment and investment climate.
